Saturday Day 1 - Depart Australia
Sunday Day 2 Arrive Cairo
Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, you will be met by our company representative and transferred to the hotel for check-in, rest of day is free at your own leisure.

Monday Day 3 Cairo (B)
After breakfast, take time to explore the Great Giza Pyramids, take an optional camel ride and visit the Sphinx. The Great Giza Pyramids are the only remaining wonder of the ancient world and a trip to Cairo would be incomplete without a visit to these sacred sites. Move on next to visit the Step Pyramid of Zoser, the world's oldest major stone structure. After that transfer to Memphis which was founded by King Menes and was the capital of old Egypt during the old kingdom and see the statue of Ramses II. Later in the afternoon, you have free time to shop, familiarise yourself with downtown Cairo, perhaps explore Coptic Cairo, or simply relax back at the hotel!

Tuesday Day 4 Cairo - Aswan by overnight train (B, D)
Following breakfast, we visit the Egyptian Museum and discover the treasures of King Tutankhamen. The museum houses more than 10,000 relics of ancient Egypt and is home to millions of artefacts, mummies and reclaimed artworks alongside the extremely impressive Tutankhamen exhibition. Later in the afternoon, you can enjoy some time at old Cairo bazaar (Khan El Khalili)....shopper's paradise! After our shopping experience we take you back to the hotel to freshen up and pick up your bags. This evening you board a first class overnight train to Aswan. Wednesday Day 5 Aswan (B)
Arrive at Aswan Railway Station and transfer to your hotel. Time to settle in, then enjoy a felucca boat ride around the Elephantine and Kitchener Islands, stopping at a Nubian village. This afternoon, you may wish to wander around the colourful night markets, indulge in a rich Arabic coffee & shi-sha,
perhaps get yourself a henna tattoo (additonal cost), walk to the Nubian Museum or simply relax by the pool.

Thursday Day 6 Aswan/Abu Simbel (B)
An early start this morning (4.00 am) to tackle to convoy of vehicles heading across the desert to the amazing Abu Simbel, where you will marvel at some of the most magnificent monuments in the world. This is certainly one of the highlights of the tour and well worth getting up in the dark for! We return to Aswan at around midday, so if your in need of a rest, there is plenty of time for you to do so. The afternoon and evening are free at your own leisure...A great opportunity to enjoy the commanding views and take in a beautiful sunset over the Nile from the hotel's rooftop Terrace.

Friday Day 7 Nile Cruise (B, L, D)
Visit the famous High Dam of Aswan. The High Dam was completed in 1971 and created Lake Nasser. The creation of the dam made it necessary to relocate several famous monuments. You will then visit the romantic Temple of Philae. The Philae Temple is a majestic Greco-Roman Egyptian temple dedicated to the goddess Isis, the Goddess of Love. Sail to Kom Ombo and visit the temple shared by the two Gods, Sobek and Haroeris. Later, sail onto Edfu and in the evening you have the option of joining in one of the popular theme nights on board the boat, or simply relax as you reflect on the day's activities.

Saturday Day 8 Nile Cruise (B, L, D)
In the morning, visit the temple of Horus in Edfu. Later sail to Esna, cross the lock and continue sailing to Luxor. Plenty of time to enjoy the cruise boat and it's facilities whilst cruising the Nile.

Sunday Day 9 Nile Cruise (B, L, D)
Cross to the West Bank to visit the Necropolis of Thebes, Valley of the Kings and the temple of Queen Hatshepsut (Deir al-Bahri). The afternoon is free at your own leisure, relax and cool off by the pool or perhaps explore the souqs of Luxor.

Monday Day 10 Luxor (B)
Disembark Nile Cruise boat after breakfast. Visit East Bank and see the massive Karnak temple and historic Luxor temple. Enjoy the afternoon at your own leisure.

Tuesday Day 11 Luxor - Cairo(B, D)
You may wish to have another early start and enjoy an optional hot air balloon trip at dawn over the Luxor Valley (additional cost). Rest of the day free at leisure, then board overnight sleeper train in the afternoon.

Wednesday Day 12 - Cairo - Alexandria (B)
Private Bus from Cairo to Alexandria, then enjoy the rest of the day to relax and explore!

Thursday Day 13 - Alexandria - Cairo (B)
Today you will have a full day tour in Alexandria visiting Pompey's Pillar, Catacombs, Roman Amphitheater, Fort Qait Bey and Alexandria Library then drive back to Cairo.

Friday Day 14 - Cairo (B)
Day at leisure to enjoy a little relaxation before your flight home tomorrow, check out Coptic Cairo or grab some last minute bargains in the bazaars.

Saturday Day 15 - Depart Cairo (B)
Time to say goodbye to the land of the Pharaohs! After lunch transfer to the airport for your final departure.
