The Bibbulmun Track in Western Australia is one of the world’s great long distance trails, stretching 1000km from the Perth hills to Albany.

We’re providing an opportunity for you to join us on a guided walk between Collie to Balingup over 5 days to experience a section of this stunning track in comfort without the extra weight of a full backpack!

For those who are looking to complete the Bibbulmun Track from end to end over time, this 88km stretch is a great way to help achieve that goal.  We’ll be exploring the beauty of WA’s wildflowers, taking in the sights and sounds of the bush ... and walking through some quality jarrah forest sections our South West is well known for.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Collie to Mungalup Dam (Walking Distance - 12km)

Leaving Perth this morning, we’ll travel south to Collie and enjoy a picnic lunch on the banks of the Collie River, prior to beginning our walk.  The walking today is easy, passing by the Collie River and ending at Mungalup Dam, a pleasant resting place (the town’s water supply, not for swimming ). We then return to our comfortable accommodation in Collie to enjoy a little relaxation.
Meals: Lunch, Dinner

Day 2 - Mungalup Dam to Mumby Pub ( Walking Distance - 21km)

Another day in paradise as we head into the Wellington Forest towards Yabberup Campsite, in the hope of bumping into some small native animals such as the mardo or quenda … that’s if we’re quiet enough girls!!

After Yabberup the track skirts Glen Mervyn Dam…. perhaps a good opportunity to take a dip before descending to the tiny settlement of Mumballup. It’s here we reach a well deserved resting place to finish out our day, a little old tavern affectionately known as the “Mumby Pub”, which has been a local haunt for walkers since 1988. Time to kick back and enjoy a coldie or a cuppa, before we return once again to our accommodation in Collie.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 3 - Mumby Pub to Lowden Grimwade Rd (Walking Distance - 21km)

We pack up our gear this morning, before heading out for our day’s walk, as tonight we stay in cozy chalets close by the quaint little town of Balingup.  While we’re out walking, our gear will be transported to our accommodation by one of our guides.

We start off wandering along an old railway track, before passing rolling green pastures and then we begin the steep climb to the Noggerup Conservation Park, where we’re rewarded with one of the best stands of virgin jarrah forest in the South West.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 4 - Lowden Grimwade Rd to Kirup Grimwade Rd (17km)

The track continues through old forests and then once beyond the Grimwade campsite it traverses more recently logged forest. We’ll encounter a few ups and downs today, however the gradient is relatively gentle. This afternoon, you will have time to explore Balingup if you wish or head back to the chalets, perch yourself on the verandah with a cuppa or a glass of wine... and soak in the magnificent views.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 5 - Kirup Grimwade Rd to Balingup (17km)

Today’s section is a fitting way to end our time on this stretch of the track, it’s beautiful!  We walk through forest and farmland and although the descent to balingup Brook is steep, the walk along the brook and into the village of Balingup is picturesque with rolling green hills and open landscape.  We celebrate our finale with afternoon tea at “The Taste of Balingup” … because we deserve it!  We anticipate arriving back in Perth by 6pm.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

I have some questions Book this Adventure

Had the best weekend with a lovely group of women enjoying the walk, scenery and food!! Back to nature with "no service" is something that should be done more often.
