International Women’s Day 2011
I’ve been sitting here reminiscing about a very special International Women’s Day (IWD) in 2009, one which will always remain close to my heart. IWD fell during the time when I was hosting my first ever Adventurous Women Trip which was to Egypt…aaah the memories. This was to mark the beginning of the many struggles, accomplishments and most importantly the realisation that I had the potential to influence so many other women’s lives, just by following my heart and turning my vision for Adventurous Women into reality.
I thank each and every one of our 1,200 + members for being part of this growing community and contributing in so many different ways…you see IWD is a celebrated globally every year on March 8th and it’s a day when women are recognised for their achievements, regardless of divisions, ethnic, linguistic, cultural, economical or political. It’s an occasion for celebrating being a woman!
Just by being part of Adventurous Women, supporting this community and pushing through your own fears & boundaries, I would like to recognise you all on this day as being exceptional women.
THANK YOU
Sue x
