Join us for a moderately strenuous hike, with Jarrah forest and river scenery as a stunning backdrop.  The highlight of this walk is the impressive "King Jarrah”, a 250 year old jarrah tree!

The King Jarrah trail traces the former transportation routes of the once vibrant timber industry. The much prized hard woods of Jarrah, Marri and Blackbutt saw a proliferation of timber towns in the late nineteenth century and were an important source of employment for the early pioneers.

Distance of Hike - 18km Loop

Grade 4 - Experienced Bushwalkers

Gradient & Trail Quality - Steep section (western side of the trail), rough track with many obstacles and limited signage

Duration - 5 to 6 hours including breaks

Meeting Point - We will leave Blue Wren Cafe in Dwellingup at 9.00am, so meet here at 8.45am, or earlier if you wish to grab a cuppa & breakfast - (we'll leave some cars here and car-pool to the beginning of the trail)

A very enjoyable trip - challenging, but not overwhelming. I enjoyed traveling with like minded women who were from very diverse backgrounds - all very respectful of their fellow travelers.
