The Bibbulmun Track in Western Australia is one of the world’s great long distance trails, stretching 1000km from the Perth hills to Albany.

We’re providing an opportunity for you to join us on a guided walk between Collie to The ''Mumby Pub'' over 2 days to experience a section of this stunning track in comfort without the extra weight of a full backpack!

For those who are looking to complete the Bibbulmun Track from end to end over time, this 34km stretch is a great way to help achieve that goal.  We’ll be exploring the beauty of WA’s Fungi species, taking in the sights and sounds of the bush ... and walking through some quality jarrah forest sections that our South West is well known for.

- Those wishing to complete a 'Town to Town' from Collie to Balingup, this is the first section we're offering and we'll be continuing on from here with the next section being held in August or September this year.

Itinerary

Meet with our Adventurous Women Guide out the front of The Collie Ridge Motel at 9.30am. Once introductions have been made, our guide will conduct a briefing about the walk and how the day will run. Afterwards a few of you will leave your vehicles parked at the motel and using the remaining vehicles, the group will car pool to Mungalup Road South, park here and commence the walk back along the Bibbulmun Track to Collie. The walking today is easy, passing by the Collie River and ending back at our comfortable 'warm' accommodation in Collie.

We envisage arriving back in Collie at around 4pm, giving you a little free time to explore, relax and freshen up before meeting together as a group for drinks and nibbles, followed by a yummy dinner and dessert.

Meals: Lunch, Dinner

Accommodation: Collie Ridge Motel

Early start today as we have a lot more kilometres to walk!! After breakfast, we'll check out of our accommodation and set off for the 'Mumby Pub' where we'll leave some of the cars parked, then with the remaining vehicles, once again car pool to our starting point for the day at Mungalup Road South.

Another day in paradise as we head past Mungalup Dam and into the Wellington Forest towards Yabberup Campsite, in the hope of bumping into some small native animals such as the mardo or quenda … that’s if we’re quiet enough girls!!

After Yabberup the track skirts Glen Mervyn Dam, before reaching a well deserved resting place to finish out our day, a little old tavern affectionately known as the “Mumby Pub”, which has been a local haunt for walkers since 1988. Once here, we'll celebrate our achievement together with a quick coldie or a hot cuppa (if you wish), before commencing the car pool back to Mungalup Road South and onward travel back home.

We envisage that our day will finish at 5.00pm.

I enjoyed that it had different elements, day one was paddling the river and looking at the bush, a drink at the pub, the chance to have a spa on the Saturday night and then on the Sunday it was more Estuary.

Having the 2 Dolphins swim under us going up the river then seeing them come back past at lunch time was great

What a gem - serious bush walking wrapped around visits to a Belgian Chocolate Mill, tastings at a Cidery & the Hepburn Bathhouse & Spa.Beautiful accommodation in the Daylesford Manor House, just a short walk from the town centre. Visits to the Convent Gallery, Amazing Mill Markets & the Secret Garden Plant Centre rounded off a very upmarket walking holiday with Adventurous Women.
