Itinerary

Let the adventures begin!! Thismorning our Adventurous Women Guide will pick you up from the CBD, introduce you to others in the group and then it's time to hit the road. First stop will be at the Crooked Carrot where you can grab a cuppa and some morning tea (or breakfast). Then it's onto Dunsborough where we meet Pete from Jetboat Adventures who'll provide the group with a safety briefing before heading out on the boat for what is known as "The Thrill Ride". After the ride, you can take a walk on the beach, have a swim or just kick back and relax while our guide prepares a picnic lunch.

After lunch, it's time to head off to Margaret River town where there will be some time to grab a cuppa or ice cream, pick up supplies and take a stroll around the shops if you wish. Then everyone will re-group before heading off to the apartments located close to pretty Gnarabup Beach. Once settled in here, you may wish to stroll to the beach, laze around the pool, have a sauna or slip off to 'The Common Bar & Bistro' for a refreshing beverage.

Around 6.30pm our guide will serve up some nibbles for the group to enjoy a little social time together while she prepares the dinner.

Meals: Lunch, Dinner

Rise and shine ... But not too early! At 8.30am It's time to head to the cliffs at Willyabrup (Willy's) for one of our all time favourite adventures, Abseiling. We have found that this activity builds confidence and trust and is truly an empowering experience for women.

Our friends at Margaret River Climbing Co will meet us in the carpark at Willy's and together everyone will take a 1km walk from the carpark to the cliffs. Here you'll have an equipment and training session on flat ground, then to calm the nerves and wet the appetite, you get to have a go at doing a 'nursery' abseil which is 10-15m high. Morning tea will be served after that ....Then it's time to tackle the big kahuna - the 40m abseil over the cliff face and down to a sandy patch below. During your time at the top there will be lunch available for you to have when you're waiting for your turn. This abseil can be repeated as many times as you have the energy to climb back up the stairs to the top again prior to our finishing time mid afternoon.

At around 3pm, we finish our session, pack up and walk back to the carpark before jumping on board the bus and heading for home. There's sure to be a BIG BUZZ around the bus during the drive home, as you'll be re-living every moment of this AWesome adventure!!

I absolutely loved the walk . I had no expectations as it was my first walk with AW but it was so good in every way. The accommodation was great , the food was excellent ,the guides were wonderful and so caring .

I can't think of any way it could be improved , except maybe having another place to stay in between the swan valley and New Norcia ,as it was a long drive back the last couple of days .

A great walk on a beautiful day with some really lovely ladies. Being in the middle of Sydney, this walk was easy to access and provided some stunning riverside scenery. Deb was a great guide who pointed out some interesting historical points along the way.
