The Ghost House Trail offers some of the best wilderness walking in Yanchep National Park. It takes us on a natural and cultural journey around the park's most pristine wetlands, namely Loch McNess and North Lake. The trail starts on the western side of Loch McNess on the Yanjidi Trail and finishes at the North Oval Car Park near Cabaret Cave. As we walk, we pass through grand examples of Tuart forest, banksia woodlands and coastal heath. The rocky limestone outcrops are a special feature along the trail and provide scenic vistas of the North Lake and it's surrounds.
After the walk, you may choose to stay on and enjoy a cuppa or even a late lunch at the Tea Rooms, enjoy a coldy in the beer garden at the Yanchep Inn, or perhaps explore the National Park some more, .... it's beautiful and has so much to offer the visitor.
Distance: Approx 12.4km in total (estimated 5 hours including rest breaks)
Terrain: Fairly flat bush track, sandy and rocky in some places however easy to navigate - moderate level of fitness required.
Meeting Point: Out the front of McNess House Visitor's Centre, inside the Yanchep National Park. On entry into the park, you will need to stop at the Entry Station and advise the Ranger that you are with the Adventurous Women ® ™ Group - they will then let you proceed into the park without payment, as your entry fee has been paid in advance by us.

Another lovely experience with AW, supportive, friendly company with a delicious lunch provided.
It was a fantastic walk, beautiful scenery and lots of laughs. It was a great day.
Well organized, informative walk. Amazing vegetation along the Tanglewood track with beautiful natives and lots of bird life. It's a lot less busy track
The coastal walk was busy even though it was a cloudy day but we still had beautiful views over the coastline. At the end of the walk we had a quick dip to cool off. The currents were strong but the local life savers kept a keen eye on us. It was a really enjoyable walk and fun day.
Was a lovely afternoon with lots of laughter
Fabulous day, great group of girls, amazing food. Had lots of laughs and met some amazing women who proved they were all adventurous.
I had a great day with lovely women. Sue is amazing so much encouragement and energy. Lunch was delicious
An absolutely challenging day!
Thrills & spills with other women who were as scared as me but we all got it done!
The delicious lunch provided by Mr AW was devoured with gusto - it is a good reason to do AW events
So much fun!!! I totally loved this adventure. I felt challenged and supported, scared but also safe. Great to push myself outside my comfort zone. Thanks
Fabulous evening spent with a great group of ladies, thanks for showing us Black Hill Betty!
