Our Taste of Adventure Tours are food or wine based adventures ... or both!  Sometimes we explore within our own neighbourhood, sometimes further afield ...wherever the culinary journey takes us, we will go!

Whether the adventure is food or wine themed, or both ... you're guaranteed of a great social outing, coupled with good conversation, meeting new friends, or reuniting with old friends and exploring those taste buds together!

This AWesome Full Day Wine Tour takes us out to McLaren Vale, with its idyllic Mediterranean-style climate, stunning scenery, wine & food. We enjoy our day tasting premium wines, feasting on local produce platters and soaking in the beautiful surrounds ... all in good company!

A guide of how our day will run:

9.30 am Pick up from CBD, then onto Glenelg for second pick up at a location to be advised – drive along the coast to McLaren Vale

10.30 am Chapel Hill Wines –a tasting of their premium reds matched with food is the highlight of this tasting in the beautiful surrounds of the restored Seaview Church, perched high on a hill behind McLaren vale.

12.00 pm Leconfield Winery – home of wines by Richard Hamilton with fruit from McLaren Vale and Coonawarra making up an impressive range. New cellar door featuring panoramic views across vineyards to the Willunga Hills. Platter-style lunch featuring local produce to follow the tasting.

2.15 pm Shingleback Wines – enjoy your third tasting in the old world ambience of the restored barn, now a charming cellar door. Recent Jimmy Watson trophy winner and a number of trophies and gold medals at McLaren Vale Wine Show.

3.15 pm Hugo Wines – smaller is better in this award winning cellar door of John and Liz Hugo. Full flavoured red and white wines with some cellar door only bargains of exceptional quality

4.00 pm McLaren Vale – free time: Visit Fruchoc Shop - dried fruits, nuts and confectionery, or visit one of the other attractions in the immediate area including Hardys Tintara Cellars, Bracegirdles Chocolates and the Almond train........ A relaxing way to end the day.

4.30 pm Depart the Region

5.30 pm – Drop off in CBD

Good day out with great views and some hill and terrain challenges which was good training for Oxfam trail ! Our guide Sue was excellent and hadn’t realised we’d get real coffee and home baked treats on top of Mt .Cuthbert!
