This morning at 9.30am, our Adventurous Women Host Deb, will meet with you all at the Sydney Darling Harbour Hotel, 11 Pyrmont Bridge Road. (Please make your way to this hotel, even if you haven't stayed here the evening prior, as this is our departure point) Our driver will arrive at 10.00am to pick everyone up and begin the journey to Bateman's Bay

Today is a leisurely day of driving and exploring some significant local sites, stopping along the way to grab some lunch. Time permitting and if desired, our local driver will stop at the famous Wray Street Oyster shed for an afternoon of Oysters, a local speciality! Afterwards our driver will then check you in to your centrally located waterfront hotel and give you directions to where you'll enjoy your first evening meal together at Sam's Pizzeria, a local award winning waterfront restaurant.

Meals: Dinner

At 8.00am thismorning our group is transported to the southernmost point of Murramarang National Park, a journey of around 45 minutes. You only require a day pack, with the rest of your luggage being transferred to our next destination. Here the first day of hiking commences to the north, along exposed cliff tops and amazing viewing areas. Today, expect to hike up to 12 kilometres with the option of various side trails and rock platform discoveries. The hike varies from cliff tops, to beaches to rock platforms and in sections no trail exists. Your guides will help you negotiate the varying degrees of difficulty as you begin to discover the many beaches sandstone layers and spotted gum forest famous in the area. We find shady calm spots out of the wind to enjoy rest stops, lunch and we like all guests to be prepared for optional swims.

By mid afternoon you will arrive on foot to Murramarang Resort and check into your garden cabin accommodation on the edge of South Durras village. While lazy Eastern Grey Kangaroos sleep on the lawn in front of your cabins, settle in and then re-group to enjoy a glass of champagne along with afternoon tea to celebrate the first hiking day.

Later in the afternoon, some choose a beach dip, maybe laze by the pool or simply rest before the evening meal. Tonight's evening meal can be enjoyed at the onsite restaurant, or if preferred can be taken back to your cabin. Your Adventurous Women host will provide you with the options available to you.

Meals: Breakfast, Morning Tea, Lunch, Afternoon Tea

Accommodation: Cabins at Murramarang Resort

This is a short walking day of approximately 6 km. Wake to the sounds of the waves and possibly Bowerbirds, Kookaburras and King Parrots. At 8.30am with overnight bags packed and ready to be transferred to the next destination, it's time to say goodbye to South Durras and commence your day of hiking (Your overnight bags will be transferred by vehicle to your night 2 accommodation).

This is the shortest day of hiking and the majority is on the long sandy beach separating South and North Durras. We encourage barefoot on this stretch and be ready for a possible river crossing! Durras Lake is a significant catchment in the area and is identified as an ICOLS (Intermittent Closed or Open Lake System). There is no pattern to when the lake is open or closed to the ocean, it can remain open for months at a time or be closed over to the ocean for long periods. When the lake is open, be prepared for a crossing up to waste deep with your shoes and pack held high! The end of Durras Beach marks a great spot to enjoy a snack and the view.

Here we put our shoes back on prior to beginning one of the challenging up hills sections of the hike, up and over the dominant Point Upright. A short side hike offers magical views to the ocean and a great spot for Whale Watching! Not too far along the trail you will descend into the sleepy seaside village of Depot Beach, here you will find your comfortable accommodation for the next two evenings.

We settle in here for lunch together, before enjoying a relaxing afternoon. There are plenty of options available to you .... You may choose to relax at the local beach, head out for a snorkel, chill out with a book, enjoy a complimentary massage, deep stretch (yoga) session, or simply rest in your cabin prior to sundowners on the sand.

Dinner will be prepared by your guides this evening and served on the deck at one of the cabins

Please note* This day we can also offer a sea kayak option.

Meals: Breakfast, Morning Tea, Lunch, Afternoon Tea, Dinner

Accommodation: Cabin style at Depot Beach

Spotted Gum Eucalypts and ancient Cycads are a feature of today's hike.

Enjoy breakfast on your cabin deck, pack your day pack and visit the beach prior to setting off on one of the most spectacular and remote days with the dominant Murramarang Range on your left and the pacific Ocean on your right. Today's Hike begins right from our doorstep along white sandy beaches through a network of rock platforms, boardwalks and rainforest trails. Passing famous Pebbly beach, home to surfing kangaroos and discover surf spots that are folklore and being spoilt for choice with any number of picturesque spots to stop for lunch and a swim!

Be greeted at the trail finish location mid afternoon by our driver who will transfer the group back to our Depot Beach Cabin accommodation.
