If you're keen for a bush camp experience in a stunning location with the added bonus of learning something new, testing your 4WD skills, exploring hidden gems only accessible by 4WD, then this little getaway will be right up your alley!
The first day we all meet at Pemberton where you'll be greeted by Sue H, AW Host/4WD enthusiast, along with our guide "Big G" from Pemberton Discovery Tours. A briefing will be conducted, radios handed out and then we'll head out on the tracks. Our half day 4WD experience is a great warm up through karri forrest and dunes where you'll really get to know the capabilities of your vehicle and become more confident in your 4WDriving ability, before conquering the mighty Yeagarup Dunes to access our camp .... this experience is sure to get the blood pumping!!
Following day during our full day Black Point Eco Adventure, we venture through the magestic D'Entrecasteaux National Park. We visit the basalt columns of Black Point, which were formed over 135 Million years ago by a volcanic eruption which filled the Perth basin with basalt and as it cooled, it formed the hexagonal columns you can see now. We venture into the Goblins - a local secret - this is where the Lord of the Rings SHOULD of been filmed and we also visit Lake Jasper - the largest natural freshwater lake in Western Australia. Fed by the Yarragadee Aquifer, and dammed by the same basalt that forms the columns at Black Point, it has no streams running into or out of its banks.
This trip is all about making four-wheel driving accessible & fun for women .... learning 4x4 skills, safety in numbers, balance of driving & exploring with time to stop, relax and enjoy the experience, great photo opportunities, stunning views, learning more about the history, wildlife, flora & fauna of the area ... and camping at one of the best private beach camps in the South West!
A great introduction for those who aren't overly familiar with 4WD operations - or those who are experienced, but just want to learn about the area and prefer going in convoy. You don't need to be experienced in 4WDriving, as there is plenty of guidance and support along the way, however you do need to have a 4WD or come along as a passenger with someone who has their own 4WD (not an SUV).
Grab a couple of girlfriends / other Adventurous Women (more the merrier) and bring them along for a great weekend full of fun & adventure!!

This tour by it's very nature is not designed for the 5 Star Traveller. It is for the girl who has an 'adventurous spirit' and is looking for a unique and rewarding 'experience'. This is a bush camping experience, however we do have a very large sheltered area where we are able to cook & dine (gas bbq, sink, food prep area and tables/chairs), there are also long drop toilets available and a hot shower.
Adventurous Women 4WD tag-a-long adventures are challenging, self-sufficient experiences and you need to accept that when going off-road, overgrown tracks may be accessed where pin striping of vehicles will occur. Please bear this in mind... as much as we love our paintwork, it's a normal part of the off-road experience in some areas in which we travel.
Notice of cancellation must be in writing, with an email as an acceptable form of communication, directly to Adventurous Women with the following conditions:
