Itinerary

8.15am - Arrive at Base Camp where you'll be met by a Qualified Flat Water Guide and our Adventurous Women host Deb. (Driving directions to Base Camp will be given prior to your departure. There is secure parking for your vehicle on site. If driving from Sydney allow 2 hours, If driving from Canberra allow 2hrs 15mins)

Introductions will take place, followed by a briefing, before loading of our equipment into the canoe's. Then it's away we go on this fantastic little adventure escape!!

We board a shuttle bus to Tallowa Dam where we begin our paddle into the spectacular Shoalhaven Gorge, recognised as one of the most scenic flat water paddles in Australia, especially after rain with many waterfalls coming over the majestic sandstone cliffs.

We paddle approximately 3 hours to our riverside camp which is around the Fossickers Flat area. We'll take our time, paddling at a gentle pace and stopping along the way to enjoy a relaxing morning tea by the river.

Once we've set up camp, it's time to unwind, relax and enjoy the serenity. We'll cook up a yummy meal for dinner and enjoy a vino by the campfire!

Meals: Morning Tea, Dinner

We wake up to the sound of the birds and enjoy a leisurely breakfast before breaking camp down. We allow three hours to paddle back to Tallowa Dam, enjoying lunch on the banks of the river along the way.

Once at Tallowa Dam, we're met by the shuttle bus and return to base camp to pick up our vehicles.

This tour by it's very nature is not designed for the 5 Star Traveller. It is for the girl who has an 'adventurous spirit' and is looking for a unique and rewarding 'experience'!  You need to be able to adopt a "Go With The Flow" attitude, a willingness to have a go, work as a team .... and to be 'ok' with bush camping & sleeping in a tent (no showers, no toilets)
