MAKE A BOOKING

If you're keen to camp out under the stars with the added bonus of honing your 4WD skills, this little getaway will be right up your alley!

This trip is all about making four-wheel driving accessible & fun for women! Learning 4x4 skills, safety in numbers, balance of driving & exploring with time to stop, relax and enjoy the experience, great photo opportunities, stunning views, learning more about the history, wildlife, flora & fauna of the area ... and camping on a private property (by invitation only).

A great introduction for those who aren't overly familiar with 4WD operations - or those who just want to learn about the area and prefer going in convoy.  You don't need to be experienced in 4WDriving, as there is plenty of guidance and support along the way, however you do need to own a 4WD or be passenger with someone who does (SUV's or AWD not suitable)

Grab a couple of girlfriends / other Adventurous Women (more the merrier) and bring them along for a great weekend full of fun & adventure!!

Our Private Pemberton Wine Discovery Tour will enable us to experience Pemberton’s wineries and cideries, not to mention a lazy late afternoon lunch at a very special local winery, along with a guided adventure through Pemberton’s forests via the vibrant avocado, olive, Truffle and strawberry plantations which dot the landscape ... Throw coffee and chocolates into the mix - YUM!!   The day starts in the morning from our private camp where we're picked up by our personal guide ..... we relax whilst they do the driving for us!  They choose a selection of wineries that will give us the best tour route - the most scenery and the nicest people on the planet.

At the end of the day, we're dropped back at camp where we're invited to stay Sunday night as part of our 'private package'  - If choosing to stay and play on Sunday, checking out on Monday, you'll need to bring something for dinner on Sunday night as this meal is not catered for.

Itinerary

Meet with your Adventurous Women host and 4WD expert Graeme from Pemberton Discovery Tours at “Wild at Heart” Cafe in Pemberton. Perhaps get there earlier if you wish to grab a cuppa/arvo tea, as once everyone is there at 2pm we’ll conduct intro’s and chat about our next move.

After we’ve met one another and had our briefing, it’s time to hit the dirt and explore Warren National Park. We'll be driving in convoy on gravel through the forest and will be sure to be tackling some obstacles along the way before reaching our camp on a beautiful private property that we have been invited to stay at. This is a great little warm up for the following day, which is our Big Day Out!

Once we arrive at camp, find yourself a plot and set up your tent or swag, freshen up, kick back and enjoy a bevvie, or a cuppa around the campfire. Dinner will be served by your Adventurous Women host a little later and then it’s time to relax, enjoy some social time, marvel at the stars & serenity, or retire to your own space - read a book, listen to music, meditate, do a little yoga - it’s your time!

Meals: Dinner

Accommodation: Unpowered Campground - Private Property

After a relaxed start to the morning, we’ll be met by our 4WD Guide at camp and set off on our full-day tag-along 4WD adventure tour. This experience is so diverse, as we explore a range of different terrain in our vehicles, from forest to beach and dunes. A great introduction to 4WDriving, testing what you and your vehicle is capable of, exploring a beautiful part of our state and of course …..the thrill of the adventure, all in a safe and supportive environment!

As we drive in convoy, our 4WD Guide will intermittently provide interpretive radio commentary and share more info with us when we make our stops along the way - Roger That!!

There are plenty of places we stop to take in those picture postcard views, marvel at some hidden gems, experience the diversity of wildlife & birdlife pristine to the area, explore the Karri forest, learn more about the history of the area from our guide and witness the start of the largest landlocked sand dune system in the Southern Hemisphere, Yeagarup in the D’Entrecasteaux National Park! Our Guide has got a few tricks up his sleeve and great places for us to explore ... but he's keeping them under wraps until we arrive in Pemby, as these are all dependent upon weather conditions at the time of our tour. All Part of the Adventure!!!

Ground clearance on your vehicle is important for this day so if unsure, please ask prior to booking.

We finish out the day on a high, head back to camp to celebrate, reminisce and share our stories of the day. Freshen up, sit around the campfire and socialise or simply rest and relax prior to dinner. Tonight we’ve arranged a simple but plentiful camp dinner that’s sure to hit the spot!

Meals: Lunch, Dinner

Accommodation: Unpowered Campground - Private Property

Rise and shine, breath in the fresh air! Enjoy breakfast at your leisure, take a stroll around the camp - this is your time to chill out and take in the surroundings before heading back to the big smoke! We leave the campsite at 11.00am (there's an option for a cheeky coffee & chocolate stop close to the camp for those interested), however if you need to leave earlier you can, there is no need for pumping up tyres as we would've done this the day prior and we can provide clear directions on how to return to the highway. After we've said our goodbyes, you're free to make your way back to Perth, perhaps stopping en route to check out some of the lovely little southwest towns along the way.

More Information

IMPORTANT:  In the comments field of your booking form, please answer the following:

Have you had any experience driving off-road (have you ever driven on gravel roads?)

Have you ever gone 4WDing (either as driver or passenger?)

What vehicle will you be bringing?

Are you the driver or passenger on this tour and who are you travelling with?

Note: Vehicles with low clearance will not make the circuit, also have a look under the engine and see if there is a belly plate, and is it made of plastic or metal?  A plastic one may fill with sand and tear off).  If unsure if the clearance of your vehicle will be suitable, have a chat to us about it and we'll let you know.  You need to have a 4WD Vehicle for this particular tag-along adventure, an SUV is not suitable.

Once you've booked, you will receive a copy of our Tag-Along Adventure Tours Terms & Conditions.  We ask you to read & sign this document, return a copy to us and keep a copy yourself so that you understand the nature of tour you're participating in.

No Princess Policy

Princess crossed out

This tour by it's very nature is not designed for the 5 Star Traveller. It is for the girl who has an 'adventurous spirit' and is looking for a unique and rewarding 'experience'.  This is a bush camping experience.

Adventurous Women 4WD tag-a-long adventures are challenging, self-sufficient experiences and you need to accept that when going off-road, overgrown tracks may be accessed where pin striping of vehicles will occur. Please bear this in mind... as much as we love our paintwork, it's a normal part of the off-road experience in some areas in which we travel.
