See the very best of Sydney during our fully escorted end to end walk along the newly completed Bondi to Manly trail. An 80km walk over 5 days along the spectacular Sydney harbour and coastline, returning to the luxury of your 4 Star Hotel of evening, overlooking picturesque Circular Quay in The Rocks.... Bliss!

The Bondi to Manly Walk was officially opened in December 2019 and is an iconic 80km walk around Sydney Harbour that starts at Bondi Beach, crosses the Harbour Bridge and ends at Manly Beach. It's creation is a product of the collaboration between the Bondi to Manly Walk Supporters and the La Perouse and Metropolitan Local Aboriginal Land Councils; all six Councils along the Walk (City of Sydney, Mosman Council, North Sydney Council, Northern Beaches Council, Waverley Council and Woollahra Council); seven state agencies and the Sydney Harbour Federation Trust.

The walk is rich in Indigenous heritage and includes four iconic Australian Landmarks; the Sydney Harbour Bridge, Sydney Opera House and Sydney's two most famous surf beaches - Bondi & Manly.  Walking this trail provides an unsurpassed experience enabling you to explore Sydney from an on-foot perspective, while discovering the natural beauty of the harbour, fascinating cultural gems and the rich heritage.

Beginning with a stroll along Bondi Beach, the walk takes you to some of the most iconic sights in Sydney. Soak up stunning harbour views from Mrs Macquarie’s Chair, walk through Royal Botanic Gardens, past Sydney Opera House, walk across Sydney Harbour Bridge to Taronga Zoo, wander through secluded bushland and forget you’re just minutes from a bustling metropolis of 5 million people. Finally, end your walk at the famous Manly Beach.

During the walk we will discover 47 hidden harbour and coastal beaches, immerse ourselves in fascinating aboriginal culture and artefacts, visit historic sights and if we are lucky, catch a glimpse of some migrating whales. Along the way, we will never be far from having the opportunity to stop off at lovely cafes and restaurants for coffee breaks and lunches. Each evening we will return to Circular Quay by ferry or bus to our comfortable hotel accommodation.

Distance and time: 80km one-way, 5 days walking.

Level: Suitable for most ages and moderate fitness levels with occasional steep sections of stairs.

*Exact beginning and end destinations may alter depending on group walking speed and preferences and there are many options to lengthen or shorten walking days and opt for public transport if required or preferred.

^ Optional half day visit to Taronga Zoo can be arranged if time allows

After the briefing, join together and enjoy your first meal together at a nearby local restaurant.

From iconic Bondi Beach we walk along the northern coastline of Sydney’s prestigious Eastern suburbs, taking in stunning ocean views. We will get our first glimpse of Port Jackson and the Sydney Harbour Bridge before walking along the cliff track past the Gap and onto Watson’s Bay.

Finally, we will enjoy a refreshing beverage from the famous Watson’s Bay Hotel before catching a ferry back to the city from Watson’s Bay Wharf.

This day takes us along one of Sydney’s great coastal walks, the Hermitage Foreshore track to Rose Bay for lunch, then on to Double Bay, Rushcutters Bay and Potts Point, before entering the Royal Botanic Gardens which leads to Mrs Macquarie’s Chair and the picture perfect view of the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge.

We then walk past the opera house and back to Circular Quay.

Begin the day by climbing the stairs onto the Sydney Harbour Bridge. The walk across the bridge signifies the half way point of the Bondi to Manly walk.

Walking down around Kirribilli, we will pass Governor’s Place and the Prime Minister’s residence before hugging the harbour around the picturesque Cremorne Point and on to Taronga Zoo.

An afternoon visit to the zoo may be possible^ before a quick ferry ride back to Circular Quay.

Meals: Breakfast, Snack

A morning ferry ride to Taronga Wharf leads us to a stunning coastal walk steeped in history and lush green bush land.

A walk out to Bradley Head where we may be lucky enough to spot some migrating whales, then on to the gorgeous Balmoral Beach with lovely cafes and restaurants where we can grab some lunch before finishing at Spit Junction and bussing back to the city.

Meals: Breakfast, Snack

This morning we will mostly be walking through National Park where we will find stunning hidden beaches as well as some fascinating indigenous rock art and amazing views through the heads. Lunch will be at bustling Manly Corso and for the extra energetic among us, we will officially end our Bondi to Manly Beach walk after lunch with a walk around the North Head Sanctuary. #

#The official Bondi to Manly Walk ends with a 10km walk from Manly Wharf to Manly Beach via North Head. Alternatively, Manly Beach can be reached by foot from Manly Corso in 6 minutes!

Bibbulmun Overnighter - Pack n Camp Perth Hills Discovery Centre WA

Apart from the Noisy group at the campsite, I thoroughly enjoyed my overnighter.Being the first time I have carried all my gear in my pack, I learned about how to wear my pack and weight distribution. Through talking with other group members I learned what was absolutely necessary and unnecessary to take, and alternative items I could use on a trek. I met a lovely bunch of ladies who I hope to catch up with again. Our leader Sue O is amazing, sharing her knowledge about the flora and fauna of our bush and generally looking out for us all ensuring our health and wellbeing and safety at all times. A truely memorable hike. Thank you AW

An absolutely amazing weekend learning the ropes with the patient and kind Sue! She was a wealth of knowledge and taught us so much about our gear and how to set up, but also her knowledge of the wildflowers and the track was amazing! I would not hesitate to recommend Adventurous Women to anyone who wants to give hiking a go in a safe and supportive environment.

I went into this walk with much trepidation; it was my first connection with Adventurous Women and I had not had time to train as much as I would normally. This particular trail also held great personal meaning for me. I felt supported and cared for from the moment I met the group. Sue O and Jazzy were our leaders for the trail and ensured each of us had everything we needed to complete the journey right down to foot care. The food was plentiful and nourishing, there were numerous rest and care stops and each of us were encouraged along the way. I cannot recommend Adventurous Women, Sue O and Jazzy enough. Thanks also go to the other women on the journey for their love and support.

I went into this walk with much trepidation; my first with Adventurous Women and also well short of the training I would normally undertake. It was an emotional journey for me for personal reasons and I wasn’t sure I could get through.

Sue O and Jazzy were so supportive, so attentive and so caring, we could not fail. The support was amazing, the food was varied, plentiful and nourishing and the journey was everything I had hoped and needed.

I also want to include a thank you to the other 9 ladies who traveled this road with me. Their company and care was lovely. I cannot recommend AW enough and have already booked two more adventures.

The Camino Salvado was another successful tour from AW that I was able to tick off my bucket list ... and as always such a well organised and researched tour. The history lesson on Dom Salvado and the Benedictine Monks was very informative, giving an insight into what a visionary monk he was. The walking pace was relaxed and very achievable, with plenty of rest stops and lots of support and encouragement during the more difficult sections. The breaks and meals were delicious and well catered for, meeting all my needs for a Gluten Free diet - no concerns there. There was much fun had, great conversations held and new friendships created.... 5* experience.
