MAKE A BOOKING

Abseiling experience is preferable but not necessary if you're keen to give it a go.

Join us as we abseil the Golden Staircase Waterfall, one of the more spectacular in the region towering an awesome 50m above the ground below.

We will start the day with a 3-4km walk in to our site for the day, which is relatively easy, with only one steep hill before we reach the falls and prepare for our abseil.

While we enjoy a relaxing morning tea and breath-taking views our lead guide will make sure everything is perfect before we take the plunge and enjoy the exhilarating descent into the gorge and onto a rocky beach where you can watch and encourage your fellow adventurous women as they abseil down.

Following the abseil we will rock hop our way along the creek before exiting onto the fire trail for an easy walk out to our cars.

Afterwards, enjoy a dip in the creek waterhole (subject to water levels), have some lunch and celebrate your achievements together before returning home...

For those of you that did the Mt Gillies abseil, Golden Waterfall is slightly more difficult as there is a longer approach and more adventurous abseil.

Why not make a weekend of it and camp over on Saturday night ? If you decide to camp, please book online or contact Mt Barney Lodge ahead of time.

Meet Point/Time:

For those wishing to carpool from Beaudesert, we will meet at Beaudesert McDonalds at 6.30am - (toilets, breakfast, coffee if required)
We will leave a couple of vehicles at Beaudesert & split up into other vehicles, leaving Beaudesert at 6.45am for the drive to Mt Barney Lodge.

The climbing guide will try to make the decision a week prior if possible and we will relocate the activity to the advanced Mt Gillies abseil site if necessary.

Fabulous day. The crew were exceptional as were the volunteers. Great fun learning the ropes (literally) and being given the chance to 'captain' the boat.
