Your training session for June is heading out West...
Join experienced pack hiker Chris in the Moggill Hills for a session designed to help get you ready to tackle more difficult terrain and or/longer more difficult hikes.
Devils Break Loop is certainly challenging in some sections but is a nice wide and well maintained track that offers fabulous city views in places, and some serious hills to get your heart rate up especially in the gravelly steep sections, our advise - bring your walking poles!
This session will include :
While our main focus will be on working on hike fitness and skills keep an eye out for the local wildlife including plenty of birds, and beautiful lace monitors.
This grading is 3 (Moderate) but please note there is some uneven ground, and steep gravel slopes..
If bringing a pack please ensure it has a supportive waist band and we recommend no more than 10kgs of weight for beginners.
tip: bottles of water are a great weight as they're easy to measure 1L =1Kg and if you're finding it too heavy can be tipped out to reduce your weight
● Increase your hiking techniques and fitness
● Gain tactics to become adventure fit

I haven't been to Bribie Island in years and have never walked around the island. Such a treat and with a great group of women and of course our absolutely wonderful hosts, Caron & Kat.
Lovely location, great guides and fun friendly company. :)

Great fun and great company
Fabulous day. The crew were exceptional as were the volunteers. Great fun learning the ropes (literally) and being given the chance to 'captain' the boat.
Fantastic adventure that suits all abilities.
