To celebrate the easing of COVID-19 restrictions and being able to get back out to our beautiful forests we're offering this walk free of charge.

Venman Bushland National Park has been a popular recreation area for decades. It was originally owned by Jack Burnett Venman (1911–1994) and today, this 415ha park forms part of the Koala Bushland Coordinated Conservation Area.

The bushland comprises an open forest that is a mixture of eucalypt and melaleuca trees with well-developed understorey of flowering shrubs. It's home to koalas, common ringtail and brushtail possums, sugar gliders, as well a couple of different species of wallabies, lace monitors, powerful owls, honey-eaters and many other bird species.

This is a pretty little circuit walk that is relatively easy with a few hills to keep things interesting (not serious hills though, just one hill just steep enough to get you puffing)

The trail is well marked and clear and while there are a number of creeks to cross these don't pose a problem with stepping stones on the side of the track to keep your feet dry.

Grade: 3

Distance: 7.5km circuit
