MAKE A BOOKING

Come and join us for a three day "pack and camp" hiking experience along a stunning section of the Bibbulmun Track, boasting Marri and Jarrah trees, along with a great variety of flora forested sections and riverside camping. This multi day hike is all about having fun, gaining confidence in a supportive environment, learning knew skills, exploring the Bibb 'bush camp' experience and hiking while carrying your own gear!

We have chosen a moderate to challenging 45.8km walk carrying a full pack on the Bibbulmun Track, showcasing a variety of terrain.  Having three days to complete this walk means that you'll have plenty of time to explore, walking at an enjoyable and relaxed pace enabling you to appreciate the surrounds. Our walk begins on day one when we're transferred from Dwellingup by bus to Driver Road Crossing, finishing on day three in the afternoon back at Dwellingup where you can collect your vehicles.

This is a great way to up the anti if you've already completed an overnighter on the Bibbulmun, or any other track, while carrying all your own gear and sleeping in the shelters (or your own tent)...... or you've completed a 'pack-free' multi day hike. It's an opportunity to stretch yourself a little and really test out this style of hiking on the Bibbulmun Track under the guidance of an experienced bush walking guide and in the company of like-minded women. Three days on the track, you'll really start to get more familiar with your gear, (or hire gear) and learn what you do and do not really need to pack, before tackling more challenging or longer sections.

Your expert guide on this multi-day walking break, will answer any questions you have about getting out on the Track and walking any section of the Bibbulmun, as well as providing information on how to effectively pack & carry a full backpack, tips on gear, feet, hiking poles, boots, trail food and more at a pre-walk briefing to be held approximately two weeks prior to the walk.

You can hire gear from the Bibbulmun Track Organisation if you don't have your own, or if you don't know anyone you can borrow from.  We will provide you with a gear list (food, clothing, gear etc) to help you plan/prepare.

Itinerary

This morning your Guide will meet you at the Blue Wren Cafe in Dwellingup where she'll conduct a briefing outlining the plan for the next few days while on the track. You need to be ready to walk and have your hiking pack with you when you meet her at the cafe. You can leave your vehicle at the Visitors Centre for the duration as you'll be dropped back after the walk (we encourage car-pooling from Perth and will do our best to assist in this process where possible and you must call in and let the Visitors Centre know that you are leaving your vehicle there for 2 nights).

After the briefing, you'll all jump in the bus for our transfer out to Driver Road Crossing where you'll begin hiking to Murray Campsite. This section is a relatively easy introduction to the three days of walking, finishing out the day at one of most beautiful campsites in the area. The Murray Campsite is perched right on the river, so tranquil and refreshing ... you may even decide to go for a dip!!

Meals: None included

Waking to the magic of the river shrouded in mist, take a little time to prepare yourself for the big day ahead . A cooling foot soak in the river perhaps or maybe some yoga or meditation before setting off! While today's hike presents a couple of good challenges due to the hilly terrain and distance covered, there's plenty of distraction to keep you ticking along including lots of birds, sheok forest, towering Jarrah trees, ferns, fungi and dense undergrowth, along with creeks and finally finishing out the day at gorgeous Swamp Oak Campsite.

Meals: None included

Enjoy a cruisy start to your day taking in the beauty of this area, perhaps do a little stretching to soothe those muscles before setting off. After yesterday's big day on the track, you'll find today a little more forgiving. There are a couple of undulations, however the trail is relatively soft underfoot, through lush Jarrah forest, lovely valley views and lots of birdlife.

Once back in Dwellingup you may choose to celebrate your achievements of the past three days with a cuppa at the Blue Wren or coldie at 'The Dwelly' before saying goodbye to your fellow walkers and heading back to Perth.
