Enjoy a social walk of the Roma Street Parkland

Join us for a relaxed morning discovering Roma Street Parkland, one of Brisbane’s most beautiful green spaces. This peaceful oasis is filled with shady pathways, tranquil lakes, towering trees and colourful seasonal blooms, right in the heart of the city.

We’ll enjoy an easy stroll through the parkland, taking time to soak up the scenery, chat with new friends and simply enjoy being outdoors. Along the way, we’ll meet one of the parkland’s friendly volunteer guides, who’ll share the stories behind this remarkable place, from its history and design to the incredible collection of plants and trees that make it so special.

There’s no rush and no pressure; just a lovely morning spent connecting with nature and like-minded women. We’ll finish around midday, and if you’re not ready to head home, you’re welcome to join us for coffee or lunch at the parkland café and keep the conversations going.

Fitness/Walk Grade

This is an easy, Grade 1 walk. Expect to be on your feet for approximately 2–3 hours as we explore the park on wide, sealed pathways with frequent opportunities to stop. There are a few gentle inclines but no technical terrain. Suitable for anyone comfortable walking several kilometres at a relaxed pace.

Cancellation by Adventurous Women:
In the event that we cancel a tour or are unable to guarantee the departure due to not meeting minimum numbers, we will provide a full refund.

Cancellation by you:
Notice of cancellation must be in writing, with an email as an acceptable form of communication, directly to Adventurous Women with the following conditions:

14 days + prior to departure - Full Refund
13 days or less - No Refund
No refund is available after departure of a tour has commenced.

If you’re travelling solo not to worry, you’re in good company! Many of our travellers join solo and our day trips are designed to feel welcoming and supportive from the moment you arrive. It’s a great way to meet like-minded women, and friendships often form quickly along the way.

Who will be leading the trip?

Marie, Adventurous Women’s owner, will lead this social walk, giving you the chance to get to know more about the AW community and hear about upcoming adventures. For part of the walk, you'll also be joined by one of the Roma Street Parkland's knowledgeable volunteer guides, who will share fascinating stories about the park's history, along with insights into its diverse flora and fauna.
