Explore Jordan with AW

Experience the best of Jordan over nine days with a wonderful mix of ancient history, dramatic landscapes and memorable local experiences. With a knowledgeable local guide alongside us, you’ll get beyond the major sights and gain a better understanding of everyday life and traditional culture.

Explore the extraordinary ruins of Petra and Jerash, wander through the streets and markets of Amman and discover centuries-old mosaics in Madaba. There’s plenty of active adventure, too, with a hike through the rugged valleys and sandstone landscapes of Dana Biosphere Reserve, a 4WD and camel ride through Wadi Rum and a night beneath the stars.

Food and connection are woven throughout the journey, from a hands-on cooking experience with local women to sharing a home-cooked meal with a Jordanian family. There’s also time to slow the pace, whether enjoying the peaceful desert or floating in the mineral-rich waters of the Dead Sea.

It’s an adventure with plenty of variety, balancing active days and cultural experiences with relaxed moments to take it all in.

Note: This tour can be combined with Morocco Active Adventure.

When on the tour , we have you sharing with different women from the group at different times - great for group bonding and also for alleviating any potential annoyances that may occur as a result of travelling with the same person throughout a tour. Who will be leading the tour?

All AW tours are accompanied by one of our experienced Tour Leaders. Their role is to take the hassle out of your travels and help you get the most out of your experience, while embracing the Adventurous Women way.

You’ll also be joined by English-speaking Jordanian guides for sightseeing visits and excursions.

How will we be travelling?

This is an overland trip, with travel days up to 5 hours. We’ll be in a private, air-conditioned bus or van for most travel days. There is one excursion by 4x4 jeep, which allows us to cover some rugged terrain.

Is travel insurance required?

Travel insurance is mandatory for AW's international trips. If you haven't done so already, we recommend taking out a policy early. Most good travel insurance policies offer an upgrade option to cover trip cancellation and interruption, which can come in handy.

If you are looking for a recommendation, we suggest Go Insurance. Through a partnership with this insurer AW guests receive a 10% discount off the cost of insurance using this link (discount will be applied at checkout)
