See the very best of Sydney during our fully escorted end to end walk along the newly completed Bondi to Manly trail. An 80km walk over 5 days along the spectacular Sydney harbour and coastline, returning to the luxury of your 4 Star Hotel of evening, overlooking picturesque Circular Quay in The Rocks.... Bliss!
The Bondi to Manly Walk was officially opened in December 2019 and is an iconic 80km walk around Sydney Harbour that starts at Bondi Beach, crosses the Harbour Bridge and ends at Manly Beach. It's creation is a product of the collaboration between the Bondi to Manly Walk Supporters and the La Perouse and Metropolitan Local Aboriginal Land Councils; all six Councils along the Walk (City of Sydney, Mosman Council, North Sydney Council, Northern Beaches Council, Waverley Council and Woollahra Council); seven state agencies and the Sydney Harbour Federation Trust.
The walk is rich in Indigenous heritage and includes four iconic Australian Landmarks; the Sydney Harbour Bridge, Sydney Opera House and Sydney's two most famous surf beaches - Bondi & Manly. Walking this trail provides an unsurpassed experience enabling you to explore Sydney from an on-foot perspective, while discovering the natural beauty of the harbour, fascinating cultural gems and the rich heritage.
Beginning with a stroll along Bondi Beach, the walk takes you to some of the most iconic sights in Sydney. Soak up stunning harbour views from Mrs Macquarie’s Chair, walk through Royal Botanic Gardens, past Sydney Opera House, walk across Sydney Harbour Bridge to Taronga Zoo, wander through secluded bushland and forget you’re just minutes from a bustling metropolis of 5 million people. Finally, end your walk at the famous Manly Beach.
During the walk we will discover 47 hidden harbour and coastal beaches, immerse ourselves in fascinating aboriginal culture and artefacts, visit historic sights and if we are lucky, catch a glimpse of some migrating whales. Along the way, we will never be far from having the opportunity to stop off at lovely cafes and restaurants for coffee breaks and lunches. Each evening we will return to Circular Quay by ferry or bus to our comfortable hotel accommodation.
Distance and time: 80km one-way, 5 days walking.
Level: Suitable for most ages and moderate fitness levels with occasional steep sections of stairs.
*Exact beginning and end destinations may alter depending on group walking speed and preferences and there are many options to lengthen or shorten walking days and opt for public transport if required or preferred.
