The first section of this walk features a sealed, barrier-free path to Boiling Pot lookout which is only about 300 metres from the day use area.  Situated atop a rocky outcrop, this lookout offers sweeping views north to the high coastal dunes of Cooloola section in Great Sandy National Park, and over a small beach known as Tea Tree Bay, popular with surfers.

We do a bit of koala spotting as we continue on to Tea Tree Bay where there are toilets if required. Continuing our journey, we head to Dolphin Point, boasting views of Granite Bay and neighbouring Winch and Picnic Cove. As the name suggests, you can stand at the point and see if you can spot a pod of passing dolphins.

Track changes here to uneven, gravel and sand leading to Hell’s Gates. Once we reach Hell’s Gates we're in for a treat - incredible coastal views unlike anything you’ve seen before. From this point we walk along the beach at Alexandria Bay and rejoin the formed walking track at the southern end of the beach. There is a very steep set of stairs leading down to Sunshine Beach, rest here before making our return journey.

Track: 10.8km return, some gradient, easy to moderate

Meet Chris at 8.00am in the Day Use picnic ground (Car park located at the end of Park Road, Noosa National Park)

On return to Noosa Beach there is the opportunity to have a swim and stay on to enjoy a picnic lunch (BYO) if you wish.
