If you like waterfalls and beautiful rainforests, Springbrook National Park’s longest hike, the Warrie Circuit, is for you. The forest is part of the stunning Gondwana Rainforests of Australia World Heritage zone in South East Queensland.

The track named with the Aboriginal word Warrie meaning 'rushing water' crosses several creeks and gullies eventually the track reaches the ‘Meeting of the Waters’, where all watercourses draining the Canyon meet. Here will will stop and have a rest and snack (not provided) before starting the climb out.

The loop track takes you from the top of the canyon to the forest floor and back up. Along the way you walk over, behind and around more than half a dozen waterfalls. There are few times on the walk when you can’t hear water falling or fast flowing creeks. There are rock pools to rest by, creeks to scramble across and maybe a bit of mud to squelch through too.

The forest is beautiful. From the smallest, most delicate lichens to swamp gums so enormous you struggle to see the top of them. Look out for pademelons, giant land mullet skinks and pythons and hear the cracking chirp of eastern whips birds fill the early morning air.

Once we are back at Tallanbana Picnic Area we will serve hot coffee and tea with a lovely homemade treat or two (provided), it is probably ideal to bring some lunch along to enjoy here too.

Suggestion: Stop at Apple Tree Park for toilet stop on way. The Circuit is another 5-10min drive from there. There are toilet facilities at the picnic area, however tend to be very busy on the weekends. On the way out we highly recommend you stopping in at the nearby "Best of All Lookout” for an amazing view.
