Our Summer Sunset Social's are all about connecting :
Type: Social Coastal Bush & Beach Walk
Length: 6km
Grade: Mostly flat, some small hills
Meeting Point: Rockingham Naval Association Carpark located on Point Peron Road, on your right just after the Garden Island bridge entrance. (Toilets at Carpark)
Drinks Afterwards: Vat 116, 4 Kent Street, Rockingham.
After meeting with our Adventurous Women Guide the group will head off along the beach for approximately 1km before joining the Point Peron walking track. On the way you'll see many of the abandoned war bunkers that were built during WW2, some are filled by beach sand, nevertheless are still very interesting. Along with the WW2 bunkers there's plenty of history along this trail, some of which our guide will share with you all during the walk.
This is an extremely scenic walking trail with it's jagged limestone cliffs, wildlife, marine life and spectacular views from several vantage points along the way, making it the perfect place for a late afternoon, early evening stroll, finishing up as the sun begins to set over the ocean.
At the conclusion of the walk you may wish to return home, or you're invited to join our Adventurous Women Guide at Vat 116 for a drink (and bite to eat if you wish)
