MAKE A BOOKING

Ladies your invited to join us for a very special Book Club this month at The Hackney Hotel (95 Hackney Road, Hackney).

Simon Royal, a journalist for ABC Adelaide who specialises in S.A. current affairs stories and has previously hosted the local edition of 7.30 on Friday nights will be joining us.

Simon has asked if he can do either an online documentary or a TV documentary on our AW Book Club and featuring, "Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine”. Simon would like to highlight that loneliness is a major issue and believes this would make a perfect piece.

To attend on the night we need to form a group of ladies who will commit to read the book, come along on the night and who feel comfortable being asked questions by Simon while being filmed.

To confirm that your attending or have any question please email Leonie leonie@adventurouswomen.com.au

Financial Adventurous Women ® ™ are free to attend and for Non Financial /Trial Members, please bring a gold coin donation.

About The Book

Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman

Eleanor Oliphant has learned how to survive – but not how to live

Eleanor Oliphant leads a simple life. She wears the same clothes to work every day, eats the same meal deal for lunch every day and buys the same two bottles of vodka to drink every weekend.

Eleanor Oliphant is happy. Nothing is missing from her carefully timetabled life. Except, sometimes, everything.

One simple act of kindness is about to shatter the walls Eleanor has built around herself. Now she must learn how to navigate the world that everyone else seems to take for granted – while searching for the courage to face the dark corners she's avoided all her life.

Change can be good. Change can be bad. But surely any change is better than… fine?

‘Heartwrenching and wonderful' Nina Stibbe

‘Deft, compassionate and moving' Paula McLain

‘I adored it. Skilled, perceptive, Eleanor's world will feel familiar to you from the very first page. An outstanding debut!' Joanna Cannon
