Meet your Adventurous Women Host & Leonie from Water Wanderers at Riverview Reserve, 25 Norton Avenue Coodanup at 8.15am for an 8.30am start.
After introductions, we leave some vehicles at the reserve and car-pool in other vehicles around to our put-in location in Greenfields (4.7kms). There are public toilets here and a good launch beach. We begin our paddle along the Serpentine River, an interesting section that has us snaking our way through, backwaters, twists, turns and bends and to the river mouth, then paddling back to Riverview Reserve. Make sure you keep an eye out for the abundant birdlife including the Yellow-billed Spoonbill often found in these waters. There are a few options for morning tea, lunch and toilet stops along the way and we've also got the option to look at Goegrup Lake at the start of the paddle.
This particular section of the Serpentine River often provides the paddler with a sense of being an explorer ... seemingly remote at times, but easily accessible!
Paddle Distance : 10kms
Paddle Style : Should be achievable for anyone with a reasonable level of fitness. No prior kayaking experience is required.
● Exploring a lesser trodden paddle trail
● Yellow-billed Spoonbill & abundant birdlife sightings
● Goegrup Lake

This was a fabulous city walk. I grew up in Perth all my life and I discovered places and things on this walk that I never knew existed. Jazzy is just amazing, full of knowledge and patience and just a fabulous host. Thank you for an amazing day. And I loved Brads biscuits, which are always a highlight for me.
A very interesting walk discovering history and beauty between the Swan river and the sea.
I really enjoyed this. Had fun.
great hike & hill training. Awesome morning walk up & down challenging hills & gullies to stunning views, beautful bush scenery
A great adventure with a fantastic group of women. Loved every bit of it.
An exceptional day, helped by beautiful weather. Leonie was the perfect host for this and ran it very professionally, making it a very happy group experience. The horses were well behaved and ideal for new riders. The food was home made - the scones were the best I've tasted in a long time. Altogether a slick operation.
I haven't been to Bribie Island in years and have never walked around the island. Such a treat and with a great group of women and of course our absolutely wonderful hosts, Caron & Kat.
