This morning we will depart from your accommodation around 8am. Today is all about the magic of the Western McDonnell ranges. Standley Chasm, the Ochre Pits, Ellery Creek big hole, Ormiston Gorge and finally setting up camp in the world’s oldest unchanged river system at 2 mile hole on the Finke River.

Nestle yourself under an ancient river red gum next to a cosy fire and admire the beauty of Mt Sonder as she gazes down at you from 1500m high. Enjoy the billion- star accommodation with all bar no light pollution.

Today we tackle the famous Mereenie loop all the way around Kings Canyon. This dirt road is iconic in the Territory and takes us to places like Gosse Bluff and the big clay pans of the central desert. Following this, we traverse down the mountain range and on to Kings Creek Station where we will stay for the next 2 nights. Once again, billion-star view from the comfort of your King Single Swag

This morning we backtrack 20 minutes to Kings Canyon. Most groups take 3 hours to race around the rim. We are in no rush and will enjoy both the beauty and the energy that comes from sitting still and enjoying this miraculous place at the pace it was intended.

Returning to camp for a late lunch and some optional extra activities such as a camel ride or quad bike tour. Alternatively, simply chill out, read a book, grab a cuppa at the cafe, explore the natural surrounds ....Later sit around the fire and enjoy the natural beauty.

Time to get your rock socks on girls!

We continue along the Lasseter Highway to the Mt Connor lookout within the Curtin Springs Cattle Station. Grab a photo of this 750-million-year-old icon along with Lake Amadeus, one of our many salt lakes.

Afterwards, we push on to the township of Yulara in the shadow of Uluru. In the afternoon taking in the iconic Uluru sunset.

Kata Tjuta is the big brother of Uluru. The 36 domes towering some 100m higher than the rock. We will walk the “Valley of the Winds” through a truly ancient and life-giving formation. A sacred man’s area of the highest nature.

After lunch we will relax at the culture centre, learning more about the immediate dreaming areas. Late in the afternoon we take on a short walk on the shaded side of the rock to The Mutitjulu waterhole to learn about the Kuniya and the Liru dreaming. Then it’s back to camp to freshen up before dinner and another fabulous evening under the stars.

Super early rise this morning venturing to the eastern side of Uluru for the famous sunrise, shortly after engaging in a guided Mala walk. This walk is sacred and explains a lot about the creation time of the area. The group will then continue walking around the entire circumference of the Uluru (optional / or part-way if preferred), finishing in time for lunchtime flights that leave from Yulara airport, or you're welcome to hitch a ride back with our private bus to Alice Springs, if you’re extending your time away. Accommodation

Accommodation the first night is motel style accommodation (Twin Share with another lady in the group conducted by random draw unless booking with a friend). If you prefer to have a room to yourself, you will need to pay an additional $130.00 for the single supplement here.  These are limited and subject to availability at the time you submit your booking.

Thereafter, we are camping under the stars, with the first night having no ablutions, although we have the use of Glen Helen Resort the following day should you require a shower and flushing toilet.

All other nights while camping we have ablutions (hot showers, flushing toilets).

For the camping portion there is no single supplement charged, as you will have your own King Single Swag to sleep under the stars in - You can choose to sleep under the stars and have your own space completely (no sharing at all), or place your Swag inside a 3-4 person tent with one other lady from the group (we will place your name in a draw should you choose this option, unless specifically requesting to share with a friend prior to the tour).  Depending upon group numbers and availability of tents, you may well end up with a tent to yourself, however this is not guaranteed, so please make sure you understand this prior to booking.

No Princess Policy

This tour by it's very nature is not designed for the 5 Star Traveller. It is for the girl who has an 'adventurous spirit' and is looking for a unique and rewarding 'experience'! You should be able to adopt a "Go With The Flow" attitude, after-all we are camping under the stars..... This will help you chill out and therefore get the best out of your holiday.

You will also need to be mobile without assistance - some of the sights require you to be on your feet, navigating steps and uneven surfaces at times. We also have a couple of walks as part of this tour - these walks can be achieved by anyone with a general level of fitness, but again mobility is the key, as with all of our tours.
