Meeting at the Bongaree boat ramp, join Chris on this pleasant coastal walk along Bribie Island from towards Buckley's Hole.

The walk is approximately 7kms return and is flat and fairly easy going so you can enjoy a chat or the beautiful views across Pumicestone passage towards Sandstone point.

Bongaree Beach is a favourite Bribie Island destination for both locals and visitors. Located south of the Bribie Island Bridge, Bongaree Beach has parklands that run parallel to the water, with beachfront that is vegetated with a strip of white sand along the waters edge.

Parking is available at the boat ramp and also near the jetty which is just down the road.

After the walk we will be having lunch at Sandstone Point Hotel which is a fantastic venue famous for it's oysters!
We need to book a table so please advise if you will be joining the girls for lunch on the day when booking.

What a great weekend this was and I can thoroughly recommend it. It was very well organised, Bob and Ann were excellent teachers and I learnt so much. Being with a great bunch of women just topped the weekend off.

Sea Kayaking at Ninagloo Reef

9 June 2011 by Glennie M

In 2010, I joined Adventurous Women on its first ‘Sea Kayaking at Ninagloo Reef’ Event even though I had never tried sea kayaking before. I was amazed at how peaceful it was whilst kayaking out on the reef and saw lots of turtles. Drift snorkelling over the reef at Turquoise Bay was incredible and since we wore life jackets, even the inexperienced snorkeller felt completely at ease. I count myself lucky to have shared in this awesome camping trip with so many friendly fun loving ladies from which I have forged some wonderful friendships.
