Caron and Kat have teamed up with 25.30 kayaking tours again, this time it’s sunrise and a paddle across the bay to Green Island.
We begin our adventure cloaked in darkness so we are underway on our adventure to ensure the perfect location to watch the sunrise over the horizon. We will pause and let the warmth of the day wash over us in a kaleidoscope of early morning colour.
The group will then continue to paddle onto our destination, Green Island. The bay is the ideal location to spot green and loggerhead turtles, perhaps a dolphin or two or even the elusive Dugong often found grazing on the sea grasses the area is known for.
Green Island is an uninhabited island with a curved bay that protects us from the wind. It is far less used than most islands in Moreton Bay and this solitude makes it especially tranquil.
As we near Green Island, the long sandy beach is inviting - a perfect spot to pull up, enjoy morning tea and a bite to eat. You will be tempted to jump in the ocean for a swim in the crystal clear water or head up over the sand to explore this little treasure island.
After enjoying everything the island has to offer we get back in our trusty boats and head across the bay to the harbour.
