MAKE A BOOKING

Join Caron and Kat as they guide you along the last section of the Gold Coast Hinterland Great Walk!  After devastating storms in September 2022, most of this trail was washed away and has been closed.  Re-opening at Easter 2023 after the dedication & hard work from the QPWS Rangers this trail has been brought back to her former glory.

From Apple Tree Park we wander along a fire management trail to where the track deviates and descends deep into the rainforest to Little Nerang Creek. After this slippery little creek crossing, a few stairs help us climb up the other side to the trail. We continue following the creek until we arrive at the Warringa Pool. A stunning vista awaits, as does our second creek
crossing. A little further up the track we are greeted by a magical sight - at over 100m high, Purling Brook Falls!

These falls are one of the prettiest and most spectacular waterfalls in the Springbrook NP, a perfect place to pause, reflect, take a photo or two, maybe enjoy a snack. Whatever you do, don’t rush this beautiful moment. From here we cross a suspension bridge to start the steady climb back to the top of the plateau to The Settlement day use area for morning tea.

Grade: 3 to 4 Moderate with lots of stairs, creek crossings

Length: 8 kms approx

There is a toilet at both the start and finish points.

Please note: This is a thru walk so carpooling is required from Settlement Day Use Area down to the trailhead at Apple Tree Park. Please email Yvonne (office@adventurouswomen.com.au) if you can assist, your help would be greatly appreciated.
