● Photographers Delight - Autumn colors at Golden Tree Park
● Stunning Views over the Blackwood Valley
● Transitioning from Jarrah to Karri-Marri Forest
● Greenbushes Loop Trail
● Karri Gully Spur Trail
● Blackwood River
Our morning starts when we pick you up from either the Perth CBD, or the BP Service Centre Fwy South. After introductions, we'll be on our way south-bound, arriving in Balingup where we'll commence our walk from the trailhead in town.
After we've stretched our legs for the first couple of kilometres, we arrive at the heritage listed Golden Valley Tree Park where trees from Australia and all over the world were planted over one hundred years ago, forming the largest arboretum in WA. Here we will break for a picnic lunch prior to setting off for the rest of the day's walk. Though our Bibbulmun Track walk today is short, it's stunning and there's opportunity to spend a little more time at this Park wandering through and learning more about the different species planted here.
After today's walk we pick you up and head to our accommodation in Bridgetown.
Meals: Lunch, Dinner
After breakfast we head back out to where we left of yesterday at Hay Road. Heading into the Jarrah forest, we continue on until we meet up with the Greenbushes Loop Trail, stopping to take in impressive views from the look out over the Blackwood Valley.
Once we've caught our breath, it's time to continue on through the forest until we reach Mt Jones Dam and later Spring Gully Road, followed by a welcome stop at the Blackwood Campsite. The stunning views across the Blackwood Valley during today's walk is certainly a highlight along this section of the track, but remember with views, come hills and there's certainly a few ups and downs to tackle throughout the day.
After a break, we're on our way again for the final leg of the day. It's not long before we reach what's known as "Cardiac Hill" by many a frequent Bibb Track hiker. If you're walking from South to North with a full pack on your back and hit this hill at the end of your day, you'll be tested!!! Luckily for us, we're walking the reverse, so it's down the hill we go to our pick up point at Southampton Bridge on the Blackwood River.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Today's experience on the track has us walking along many old rail formations that feature heavily during this section of the trail. Apart from our first long steady climb of the day from Southampton Bridge to Millstream Dam, the walking will be fairly comfortable.
A real highlight today is the Gregory Brook Campsite set deep in a forest of tall trees and walking from there to the Karri Gully Spur trail where the tall Karri forest surroundings are just stunning.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
This morning after breakfast and pack up, we head off on the final leg of our Bibbulmun Track section.
Today's walk, although longer than the other days, is very gently on the legs and relatively easy. Noticing the transition from Jarrah to dense Karri-Marri forest is a highlight, as are the small gullies that feed the Donnelly River, lush undergrowth and finally walking into the quaint Donnelly River Village, along with the resident Emu's and Kangaroo's.

GREAT TOUR, there were so many highlights and they were well organised. Well worth the early rises to get to the special places early to enjoy the serenity without too many other tourist.
Excellent from start to finish. I loved it.
What a lovely day out. The weather was just about perfect. Cool (not hot) and no rain.
I have done this walk before and I enjoyed the second time just as much as the first time. Jazzy had so much info about the places we were passing. She definitely puts the effort in to keep us informed about our own “Backyard”…..
Very much enjoyed my first walk with Adventurous Women. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming and I'm really looking forward to the next one.
