Join us and discover some of the best walking trails traversing Rotto's Wadjemup Bidi network ... Enjoy comfy digs, good food, fun & friendships. We are extremely excited to be staying on the Island and showcasing these trails over three days, giving us plenty of time to explore and enjoy the experience at a more relaxed pace.
The Wadjemup Bidi trails are a series of walks that pass through coastal headlands, inland lakes and the rugged beauty of Rottnest Island, on the land of the Whadjuk Noongar Traditional Owners. As we walk among the Wadjemup Bidi, we connect to the native environment surrounding us, providing the opportunity to enrich our understanding of the island's history and it's significance to the Whadjuk Noongar people. We take time to pause, reflect and pay resepect to those who came before us.
Make your own way to Rottnest Island by Ferry thismorning, where our Adventurous Women Guide will meet you at the Visitor's Centre at 9.45am.
After introductions, our Guide will brief the group on how the day will run ie: lunches, luggage transfers, bus transport to/from the trailhead, toilets etc. before commencing the first walk, the Wardan Nara Bidi.
On this walk you get to explore the beauty of Salmon Bay with it's glistening turquoise waters, Parker Point, cross over land to explore the WWII guns and tunnels. Climb to the highest point on the Island, the top of Wadjemup Lighthouse, and then continue on west to the world class surf break at Strickland Bay!
There are some gradual up-hill climbs along this trail... and while they are sure to increase your heart rate, the exertion is well worth it, as you are rewarded with commanding views across the bays.
At the completion of today's walk, you'll jump on the bus and return to your accommodation at Geordie Bay where your luggage will be waiting for you! It's time to relax, drink in the views and enjoy a little Island time while your guide prepares dinner!

Thismorning after breakfast and lunch making, it's time to hit the Gabbi Karniny Bidi Trail and beyond!
This is a beautiful walk starting from Geordie Bay to the basin along the northern bays to Bathurst lighthouse and onto the settlement, where there's the opportunity for you to stop at the museum. After a break at the settlement and possible encounter with a Quokka, the walk then continues onto de Vlamingh's look out, through the salt lakes and to wadjemup lighthouse, before trailing back along the coast to Geordie bay.
Once back at Geordie Bay, you may wish to visit the Geordie Bay Cafe & Art Gallery for a cuppa, take a dip in the ocean if you're feeling brave ... or just chill out on the balcony and soak in the views!
Another evening in paradise!

Thismorning after breakfast, you will pack up your luggage and leave it for collection at the accommodation, before setting off on the Ngank Wen Bidi Trail with your AW Guide.
The Ngank Wen Bidi is a loop trail that circumnavigates the spectacular West End of Rottnest Island. After catching the bus to the Trail Head at Narrow Neck you'll meander around the west end, taking in amazing view points and hopefully spotting some New Zealand Fur Seals. On this walk you can expect to see marine wildlife, bird life and some of the most secluded beaches on the Island.
After the walk, it's back on the bus and off to the settlement, where a pub lunch may well be in order! A lovely way to wrap up your time away, before boarding the ferry home.
*Option to pop into the Catholic church for a look around and get to ring the bells after 3pm.
