Our half day retreat is aimed at providing a rich & nourishing experience designed to rejuvenate your mind, body and soul. Hiking, drumming and yoga form a well balanced trio, with hiking using energy to support physical movement, yoga moving energy through the body and drumming guiding energy into creative space.... we are bringing all three on 'retreat' and look forward to sharing this experience with you.
Be ready to connect with nature and yourself, as we begin the first part of our retreat by hiking in well preserved bushland nearby. Nature has the ability to help us gain clarity in our lives, while aiding us to relax and unwind.... a great way to settle into retreat mode.
After the walk, our Yoga Instructor Bettina, will guide us through a series of gentle yoga postures to relax the body and relieve tension, followed by a soothing meditation to quieten the mind. We'll then have a break and enjoy a warming winter afternoon tea & chit chat, before entering into our next invigorating retreat phase.
Our next retreat activity works on guiding energy into creative space! The therapeutic and health benefits relating to drumming and listening to, or playing music are well known and we're extremely excited to be able to incorporate this into our retreat. We're going to be learning the basic technique of playing Djembe, along with some traditional rhythms from West Africa.
