This-morning we leave the city behind and drive south of Perth to Pemberton, stopping along the way for morning tea and lunch. Once we arrive in Pemberton it's time to stretch our legs and get out on the Bibb! We begin at the Trailhead in town, ambling through the backstreets until we reach the beginning of the Karri Forest and the mighty Gloucester Tree. Those who wish to climb the Gloucester Tree will have the opportunity to do so on Sunday if we're running short of time today. Today's walk will consist of a few ups and downs and is through stunning Karri Forest ...... A great way to start our four day walking experience. At the end of the day, it's back to our comfy accommodation where you can enjoy a hot shower, indulge in a vino or make a cuppa and just relax, as our guides serve up pre-dinner nibbles and get dinner underway.

This morning, after breakfast we hit the track again for a beautiful walk in the Karri Forest, stopping at the Schafer Campsite for lunch and spending some time here to reflect on the tranquil surrounds and beauty of the area. Schafer Campsite is right on the river in a stunning setting and is close to the end of our walking day, so we encourage you to throw off your boots and cool the feet, or if you're feeling adventurous take the plunge and go for a dip!!
Today’s walk finishes up just after lunch, so we'll head back to Pemberton where you'll have a little leisure time - our guides can drop you in town if you wish to pick up supplies, enjoy a cuppa or coldie at the Pemby Pub. For those wanting to climb the Gloucester Tree, our guides will take you there.
As the sun sets, have a nice warm shower, relax around the fire in the dining room enjoying pre-dinner drinks/nibbles before dinner.

Thank you Sue & Lyn for a wonderful first time experience. Everyone was kind and welcoming. I will be returning :)
What a lovely weekend. I was only able to complete two days of the walk due to a knee injury, but the two days I walked the scenery was beautiful. Lovely soft leafy ground underfoot. A really pretty area of WA. As usual our AW guides were absolutely wonderful. And the food was fantastic (Brads Jam drop biscuits were perfect). The accomodation was very nice and perfectly situated so that I still had close access to Pemberton town on the days I could not walk.
As always AW did not disappoint! Fabulous walks , Lyn is a great guide, and we made good time through the (undulating !)Karri forrest. Sue gave us great food ( despite having no oven !!😂😂)
The best way to unwind as usual, Thankyou again
Lynne and Sue 👍
A great couple of days on the Kattamorda Heritage Trail. Found the first day trek relatively easy despite the distance and the second day was surprisingly interrupted with lunch at the Mundaring Weir Hotel. Our guide, Imogen, was great very inclusive and nothing was any trouble, thank you Imogen for a great weekend.
An great weekend in the Darling Ranges!
This was a truely amazing experience
I was so excited to be going on the trip and it exceeded my expectations. A stunning location, wonderful guides, amazing food and the group was friendly and adventurous!
Fabulous trip with a difference. Kayaking the Ningaloo reef & snorkelling the amazing reef each day was just amazing. Camping in the NP on our own with scenic campsites right on the beach was pretty special.
Gem of a trail in the Perth Hills. Great weekender.
