Today we'll spend a full day in The Bungles! We'll start the morning with optional helicopter flights for those who want to see The Bungles from two different perspectives, then head to Piccaninny to explore Cathedral Gorge, take a stroll around the Domes and then hike up to Piccaninny Lookout.

After lunch we drive across to Echinda Chasm, one of the highlights of the park. The gorge is a spectacular long, narrow chasm. It has striking colour variations, depending on the angle of the sun beaming into the chasm, with Livistonia palms waving from the 200 m high ridges above ... simply stunning and a photographer's delight!

It's a big day on the Gibb River Road with enough rest stops factored in along the way to keep you comfortable. This morning it's 'bathers & boots' ... as we hike to stunning Manning Gorge and drop in for a swim. Manning Gorge is one of the most beautiful places to swim in the Kimberley and you'll find some Bradshaw & Wandjina rock art here too. We then head back to camp for lunch before driving to nearby Galvan's Gorge for a short stroll to a pretty little pool where we'll finish out the day with another swim. Make sure you look up to the top of the waterfall here at Galvan's and you’ll see a big fat boab tree, which is pretty unique and makes for a great picture. There’s also a rope swing hanging from one of the branches of a snappy gum tree if you're feeling adventurous!!

Accommodation: Camping at Manning Gorge (Mt Barnett Station)

Continuing further down the Gibb, we take you into one of the lesser known gorges along the Gibb ...Adcock! Here we enjoy a relaxing morning tea and a dip in the beautiful deep green pool surrounded by rock ledges, ferns & grassy edges. Afterwards, we drive to Silent Grove (or Imintji) for lunch and set up camp before heading out for a walk and another swim at Bell Gorge, known to be the most famous Gorge along the Gibb River Road.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Today we drive to Windjana Gorge camp site, have lunch and set up camp. In the afternoon we head out to Tunnel Creek, the site of Western Australia's oldest cave system which is now famous, as it was a hideout used late last century by the Aboriginal leader Jandamarra. We take a walk through the tunnel to the other side of the Napier Range, learning about the history surrounding it as we go! Returning to Windjana camp afterwards, we settle in for our last evening around a campfire ....Another beautiful night under the stars!

We pack up camp for the last time before heading into striking Windjana Gorge for walk - the reflective colours of light against the gorge walls are stunning at this time of the morning. Accommodation

Camping

The majority of our tour is spent camping, as most of the areas we visit are remote and accommodation is limited.  We also believe this is an awesome way to experience the true spirit of the Kimberley. We camp almost every night in designated campgrounds, staying between one and two nights at each location and we supply all the camping gear your require, including 190cm high tents - 1 per person (yep you can stand and move around freely), stretcher bed, a mattress to sleep on and a comfy armchair.

There are toilets and showers available at each of the campsites, with the exception of no showers in Purnululu NP (the Bungle Bungles) where we set up a pretty cool private outback showering station. Bring your own pillow and sleeping bag or hire a sleeping bag from us for $35 (please let us know when booking if you would like this option). We have a limited amount of sleeping bags for hire, so please let us know early.

Hotel Accommodation - Broome

As part of this package, we include your last evening's accommodation in Broome at The Mecure (or similar standard) in twin share rooms. At the time of booking your tour with us if you would prefer your own room here, please let us know early so that we can check availability and provide you with the single supplement pricing.

Self Contained En-suite Cabins - Kununurra

As part of this package, we provide accommodation in Kununurra at the Ivanhoe Caravan Park in Twin Share Cabins.  There is no option for single supplement here as cabins are limited, so we ask for your understanding.  You will be allocated a cabin with another lady from the group unless you are travelling with a friend or family and wish to share with them on this evening.  Please let us know at the time of booking on this tour.

What To Bring/Wear

- Pre-departure information, including a gear list will be sent to you well in advance of departure

No Princess Policy

This tour by it's very nature is not designed for the 5 Star Traveller. It is for the girl who has an 'adventurous spirit' and is looking for a unique and rewarding 'experience' (Once in a Lifetime)! You should be able to adopt a "Go With The Flow" attitude, after-all we're camping in the rugged outback and with a positive approach, you're sure to get the best out of your holiday.

You will also need to be mobile without assistance - many of the sites we visit require you to be on your feet, walking and navigating rocky paths & uneven surfaces at times.  However as it's your holiday, you may choose not to walk on any given day and simply chill out under a Boab, swim in a nearby natural pool or read a book - there are options.
