Established in 1827, Ipswich, a town rich in history, once held ambitions to be the capital of Queensland and was strongly considered due to its port and access to the Darling Downs.
Join Chris exploring the city centre and enjoy the historical homes and character buildings built during its heyday when both mining and railways provided wealth to the region.
The sites are all within an easy walking distance of each other and include the only remaining Walter Burley Griffin designed building in Queensland.
We will also visit the beautiful Queens Park and the Queens Park Café, and include a stop at a local Chocolatier - what’s a day out without a special chocolate treat! 🍬
Getting there: From Roma St Station Brisbane, take the Ipswich line to the Ipswich Rail Station and exit onto Bell St.
Please note: To attend this event you must be COVID double vaccinated. Proof of vaccination MUST be supplied BEFORE the event by emailing a screen shot or appropriate document to office@adventurouswomen.com.au
