Come and join us for a three day "pack and camp" hiking experience along a beautiful section of the Bibbulmun Track, boasting Marri and Jarrah trees, along with a great variety of flora granite outcrops and riverside walking. This multi day hike is all about having fun, gaining confidence in a supportive environment, learning knew skills, exploring the Bibb 'bush camp' experience and hiking while carrying your own gear!

We have chosen a 32.3 km walk on the Bibbulmun Track showcasing a variety of terrain (from easy, through to challenging) to be completed over 3 days. With plenty of time to explore, walking at an enjoyable and relaxed pace to enable us to enjoy the surrounds. Our walk begins on day one at Brookton Highway and finishes on day three at Sullivan Rock Rest Area.

This is a great way to up the anti if you've already completed an overnighter on the Bibbulmun, or any other track, while carrying all your own gear and sleeping in the shelters (or your own tent)...... or you've completed a 'pack-free' multi day hike. It's an opportunity to stretch yourself a little and really test out this style of hiking on the Bibbulmun Track under the guidance of an experienced bush walking guide and in the company of like-minded women. Three days on the track, you'll really start to get more familiar with your gear, (or hire gear) and learn what you do and do not really need to pack, before tackling more challenging or longer sections.

Your expert guide on this multi-day walking break, will answer any questions you have about getting out on the Track and walking any section of the Bibbulmun, as well as providing information on how to effectively pack & carry a full backpack, tips on gear, feet, hiking poles, boots, trail food and more at a pre-walk briefing to be held approximately two weeks prior to the walk.

Between Adventurous Women & The Bibbulmun Track Foundation you can hire gear if you don't have your own, or if you don't know anyone you can borrow from.  We will provide you with a gear list (food, clothing, gear etc) to help you plan/prepare.

On booking... in the comments field - let us know what your hire requirements are if you know & we'll tell where you can hire from and cost (AW or Bibb Track Foundation) ie: Sleeping Mat, Sleeping Bag, Trangier or cook set, backpack, tent

Itinerary

We pick you up from The Wellington Street Coach Stand in Perth at 10.00 am and head out to the Brookton Highway where your multi-day walk begins. Today's walking is a good warm up for the following day's hike. We head through plenty of Jarrah and Sheoak forest, exploring Abyssinia Rock which is one of the highlights, before reaching our destination for the evening, Canning Campsite.

Meals: None included

We pack up camp early this morning and roll on out of Canning, as it's a big day on the track, with a couple of hills to keep things interesting! At the halfway point, we enjoy being near the river, a great spot to break and enjoy the calmness of our surrounds, before continuing on through big Marri and Jarrah trees and a great range of flora. As we near our camp for the night at Monadnocks, the forest of Marri and Jarrah switch to Sheok with some beautiful granite outcrops setting the scene.

Meals: None included

Enjoy a cruisy start to your day taking in the beauty of this area, a little bird watching, maybe a some yoga or mediation before setting off! Todays hike is relatively short in terms of distance, but there's a couple of granite hills to get the heart rate up! First of those being Mt Cuthbert which is approached through a pretty section of forest leading from the campsite. We take the time to admire the views before descending into the saddle in readiness for the steep climb up the next hill, Mt Vincent. You may find this one a little more challenging, as you'll no doubt be feeling a little weary by this stage, but the views at the top are worth it! From then it's down hill all the way until we reach Sullivan Rock Rest Area where our transport will be waiting.

. definitely an adventure travelling the Gibb River Road and exploring the magic hidden places. Not a trip for princesses - as lots of dust, dirt, sweating, long haul drives, etc. (do not pack white clothes!!) . However, these would not deter any traveller wanting this unique Australian outback experience. .Total trust in our skilled and knowledge driver, charming and professional hosts and the well organised itinerary made this trip easy for me. . Liked the distinctive orange roomy tents, stretchers and mattresses, comfortable camping chairs, hiring a suitable grade sleeping bag, the night campfires, seat rotation, plentiful, fresh and varied meals and snacks camping ch

I enjoyed all parts of the Cape to Cape. The accomodation was basic but a lot better than camping out. The combination of Sue Hile & Emily & Simon was special. Thanks for the amazing walk.

Cape To Cape 2012

April 2012 by Lesley W

Having now completed the Cape to Cape journey, a long-time dream of mine, gave me such appreciation for our beautiful landscape, rugged coastline and magnificent oceans that demand our respect. Being given the means and support to do this, at times, challenging walk by Adventurous Women to fulfill this rewarding experience makes me feel so privileged. Sharing the week with such a lovely like-minded group of women up for the challenge was uplifting as we endeavoured, no matter our age, to complete this renowned track.
