Paddling through the wildlife sanctuary and around to Tranby House is just a little taste of what will unfold along today's section on the Swan.
During our time on the water, we detour off the main flow of the Swan, discovering birdlife flourishing in wetlands and a wildlife sanctuary known as Kuljak Island, which is located in the middle of the river - the Island was once used as a rubbish dump but has been rehabilitated into a wildlife sanctuary. Another highlight of today's paddle is a stop off at the Historical Landmark, Tranby House where your Adventurous Women Host will be serving up a yummy picnic lunch. The paddle will then continue until the point where the river begins to widen ... Another fabulous day of kayaking and exploring!
The distance of the Paddle is 7km and should be achievable for anyone with a reasonable level of fitness. No prior kayaking experience is required.

You may choose to just take part in this ONE section only, OR you may choose to continue the following month and complete the next section on the river, starting off where we finish (as we're doing a different section each month until we reach Coode Street in South Perth). You may even keep going each month to complete all five sections, the choice is yours .. there's no pressure (just good times) and there are a good range of paddling experiences to be enjoyed, either as a one off .... or more than one if you wish.
If you really want to complete the whole sectional paddle over the 5 months, but some of the dates don't suit or you're not able to commit right now, then let us know by emailing sue@adventurouswomen.com.au. We will then place your name on a list to be notified when we next run that section so you'll have first dibs prior to it's release to the general public.

What a great way to do the Cape to Cape, everything was great, thankyou
What an adventure! Stunning scenery; an inspiring, fun group of women; and wonderful caring and empowering support to achieve a dream.
Brilliantly organised
Best experience ever 👍 Very well organised and the guides are the absolute best who go over and beyond to ensure everyone has a great experience and finishes the trek. Our guide Sue O’Connor was the absolute best. A few of us have already booked our next adventure in April ... thank you adventurous women 😀
As always, a great AW weekend. Well worth it for the nocturnal visit; amazing to see these animals one would not normally see. Thanks, Jazzy & Sue.
It certainly was highlights of the track - such a beautiful part of the south-west. There was so much of this trip to enjoy - the guides, the company, the scenic hike and the food.
One of the best weeks I have ever experienced , we were so well looked after, and great camaraderie between us all.
