Mt Edwards is the conical-shaped peak rising beside the Cunningham Highway close to Aratula and lies within the Moogerah Peaks National Park.
We will set off at 8am initially crossing the dam wall before we begin our ascent to the top of Mt Edwards at 634m. The climb starts out quite gradual and affords good views of Little Mt Edwards and the Reynolds creek gorge before things start to get tougher with a steep climb and some loose rocks before tapering off over the last 600m to reach the summit.
Once at the top you get good views across the Fassifern valley from various spots before heading back down to enjoy a picnic lunch at the dam (optional)
● Views of Little Mt Edwards & Reynolds creek gorge
● Moogerah Dam
● Views of the Fassifern Valley from the peak

Great day out! Well organised and got to see stunning waterfalls!
It was easy to find the meet up spot and have easy access to public transport.
Another fantastic AW activity. Such fun to explore an area of the Swan River that is not well known or easily accessed and the ‘scrambling’ over a range of obstacles just added to the enjoyment and the challenge. Leonie, from Water Wanderers Wanderers, excelled herself with our picnic lunch and her enthusiasm for our river adventure.
What a great afternoon! Good fun!
A great way to spend a fun filled afternoon on the river thank you for yet another memorable adventure.
Awesome way to visit Seal and Penguin Islands!
Another fabulous fun day in beautiful nature, staying active, staying happy!
There was no way I would have undertaken a trip like this alone in my kayak; it was so great to be fully supported and share the trip with such an awesome group. Huge thanks to AW, Sue O and River Gods.
What a great way to do the Cape to Cape, everything was great, thankyou
